Summer 2026 Newsletter
The pupils had a very busy time competing in various sporting tournaments during 2026. The boys' football team won a parish and district event before going forward to the regional level where they narrowly lost in the final.
The girls' netball team also had a successful season.
As well as sport, the children continue to participate in many community activities, through cultural events such as poetry recitals, singing and dancing.
Earlier this year they were selected to perform in front of Kabaka of Buganda - their tribal King - when he visited Masaka.
It is not all just fun and games. Recently P& have bee taking their mock exams.
In April the school welcomed two visitors from the Shrewsbury, Larry and Alex, who spent some time talking to teachers and pupils, and who were impressed by what they saw. The school planned to celebrate Margaret Day in June, in honour of Margaret West, but an outbreak of Ebola in the neighbouring DRC curtailed these plans as all public activities were banned. Training in Ebola prevention was provided for both staff and pupils.
In Shrewsbury a most enjoyable garden party was hosted by two of our supporters, Sarah and Robert.
